Christian Bock: Klippt Hyland (1979)
This year marks the centennial birthday celebration of the iconic Swedish TV host Lennart Hyland, whose talk show ran between 1962-1983. Amassing the Swedes by their screens in great numbers, Hyland became a Father of the Nation for the early televised era.
2019 is also the 40th anniversary of Christian Bock’s piece ”Klippt Hyland” (Cut Hyland), a loving dissection originally made as a tape loop for four recorders, recorded at EMS in 1979. Stockholm-based Christian Bock is a veteran electronic sound artist and text-sound composer, having been a member of Fylkingen since 1982.
Bock’s studies in electronic music composition at Elektronmusikstudion (EMS) and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm have led him to work in various interdisciplinary arts such as toytech, video and installations. We are proud to present his work ”Klippt Hyland” at Fylkingen 40 years after its composition.
